I graduated from University of Miami with a Bachelorā€™s in Mathematics and Math Education. I then obtained my Masterā€™s Degree in Mathematics Education from Nova Southeastern University. I have been teaching for over thirty years. 10 of those years were in Miami and Broward and the rest have been online.

After teaching over 10,000 students online and in brick and mortar schools, there has never been a complaint from a student, parent, or school site. These days. I feel like I can predict questions when I teach. I have taught every math subject many times, so I guarantee I have a solid understanding of the material. As a mom, it has become obvious that making adjustments for every learner is a must. As a former homeschool mom, my commitment is to respect the ideas of parents and guardians.

My journey in education began with the challenges of adapting to a new language and school system after immigrating to the U.S. at age seven. Those early struggles sparked a deep love for learning and a commitment to help others navigate similar paths. I earned a B.S. in Secondary Social Science Education from the University of South Florida and an M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from the University of Florida.
With over six years of classroom experience, Iā€™ve taught AP Human Geography, AP World History, AP Economics, and Government at the high school level. I also founded Intrinsic Education to provide personalized learning plans that empower students to take ownership of their education.
As both an educator and a mom, Iā€™m passionate about making learning meaningful and helping every student discover their unique path.

Science Teacher
Susan is a career science teacher for 30 years and counting! She has a science educator license in 13 states and currently teaches in the public school system, and is the 2016 Secondary Teacher of the Year for Chesapeake Public Schools. She has experience with all levels of science -Lower level as well as higher achieving students but, knows that students at all levels can be successful!
