Jun 17, 2026

This week, I sat down with Alexandria Lawson, a homeschool mom, business owner, and homeschool coach. We talked about her homeschooling experience as a mom of six children. She provided supportive and realistic advice for homeschooling families. Currently, she offers 101 coaching sessions for in-person and online homeschooling. She helps families figure out their homeschooling path. Her words can empower homeschooling parents to take action and support their children.

  • Treasure the time.
  • Never stop learning.
  • Have open conversations about money to teach financial literacy.
  • Remember your parental responsibility.

Take Action!

First of all, treasure the time you have with your homeschoolers. As Ms. Lawson explained, it won’t last forever. Try to enjoy each moment and create wonderful memories with your children.

Next, as a homeschooling parent, keep learning! Ms. Lawson shared that she continues to learn as an adult. Embrace this lifestyle. Read books, listen to podcasts, learn at your work, try new skills, and learn from life’s lessons.

Continuing, have open conversations about money with your children. This will teach them about financial literacy. Ms. Lawson expressed that our children need financial literacy. It will help them build a successful and financially secure life.

Finally, Ms. Lawson reminded parents to remember their parental responsibility. Stand firm in the fact that you are the parent. Set boundaries with others and with your children as needed. You must also teach your children life skills so they’re ready for the world. Remember that you are responsible for your child’s literacy and mathematical needs.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Ms. Lawson brought confidence and heart to this interview. She supplied several ways parents can take action in their children’s lives. Implementing these tips will help homeschoolers navigate life well and determine their next steps with confidence.
