4 Steps for Artistic Living as a Homeschooler
May 15, 2026If you need some homeschool encouragement or motivation, David and I recently spoke with Dale Dupree. Mr. Dupree is the founder of the Sales Rebellion and a sales expert. He is also a homeschool graduate and now a homeschool dad. During his time as a homeschooler, he was offered several college scholarships.
Instead, he became a roadie for a band and learned about the music industry. He shared many key insights about the music industry and his story as a band member. After he left the band, he pursued the world of sales alongside his father. He sold copiers and made large amounts of money for his father’s business.
In 2019, he launched The Sales Rebellion. In his business, he focuses on a relationship-based emphasis on sales. During our chat, Mr. Dupree offered wonderful support and encouragement for homeschooling families.
- Foster authenticity and encourage genuineness.
- Inspire your child to find their own interests.
- Encourage the study of the arts.
- Move your child to try out sales.
Artistic Living
First, homeschooling naturally encourages children to embrace their unique traits and quirks. You can motivate your children to foster their authenticity as well as encourage genuineness in life. This step involves you. As the parent, you must demonstrate acceptance and confidence.
In addition, promote open-mindedness within your home. You don’t have to agree with other lifestyles or choices. However, openly discuss with your children how to see people’s lives from different perspectives. As mentioned in our resource, true freedom comes from choosing ourselves for who we are.
Continuing, inspire your child to find their own interests. Their interests might be unique. They might enjoy competitive swimming or crocheting. Take time to help them explore their own interests. Find local classes or activities where your homeschooler can try different hobbies. Also, use supportive language. Support your children’s interests and show them that you care.
Involve the study of the arts within your homeschool routine. Read books from the Usborne curriculum on art or find biographies on famous artists. Take your homeschoolers to live music events, museums, or art galleries. Often, libraries host artistic events or classes. These experiences and activities can enrich their lives at a young age.
Lastly, motivate your homeschooler to try out sales. Move them to find ways to access the sales world. This can come in the shape of volunteering or a paid position. Your child could even read books on sales or find YouTube videos to teach themselves if they enjoy independent learning.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Mr. Dupree provided touching and informative tips for homeschooling families. These words of wisdom can both grow a family and call them to learn more. My parents encouraged my passions and my interest in the arts. It created a well-rounded life for me, and I still have a deep passion for learning.
Take time to foster these traits and skills within your children. These habits will serve them well for the rest of their lives as they progress into adulthood.
