Homeschooling can quickly overtake your schedule and keep you hustling. The curriculum can become your center focus, and your child might feel neglected. Spend time with your child away from the workbooks. Do something, such as a mini golf day or an ice cream date. Enjoy a day away from the workbooks. Spend school-free time with your child. This builds relationship and shows love to your child. Also, they will learn how to take breaks and perhaps will practice this with their own child someday. 

Finally, show interest in their life. What do they like? What are their passions? What makes them rant? What makes them feel alive? How do they want to grow in life? Ask them a series of open-ended questions and focus on their words. Listen to them and show your love for who they are.
