3 Tips for Finding Fitness as a Homeschool Family

Mar 16, 2026

Do you want to work out regularly? Do you wish someone could help you and your homeschoolers exercise? Well, recently, I spoke to Allie, who is a Christian Fitness YouTuber, missionary wife, and mom to three kids. Her goal with her YouTube channel is to work out and praise the Lord. Her content can encourage others to do the same with their workouts.

Now, she lives with her family in Peru. Allie also helps train ladies at their church in Peru while also meeting new people and sharing the Gospel with them. Allie also just began homeschooling her three kiddos.

We discussed her YouTube content, and Allie offered several excellent tips for families who want a healthy life.

  • Use Allie’s videos for your homeschooler’s fitness routine
  • Build a workout routine into your homeschool day.
  • Reframe your mindset.

Time for Health Class!

First off, use Allie’s videos to help you! Your homeschooler can use them, or you can use them as a family. Allie incorporates praise and worship into her YouTube videos, so this will also help you find time to praise God. Her 30-minute videos will keep you focused and motivated on your workout mission.

Next, build a workout routine into your homeschool day. You can pick the time that works best for your family. Using Allie’s videos can also help you find 30 minutes to work out. Plus, it will keep your children’s attention and keep them pumped. Allie encourages families to use this time to honor the Lord. Building this habit will impact your family, and the habit will become stronger over time.

Finally, reframe your mindset. Allie suggests some phrases to use. These phrases will push you to take care of yourself and your family.

Don’t say: “I have to work out.”

Do say: “I get to work out.”

Don’t say: “I’m tired of eating healthy.”

Do say: “I can eat healthy because I live in a country where healthy food is available.”

Lastly, encourage yourself to work out for God. Allie explained that this takes the focus off ourselves and can push us to work out. Focusing on a higher power (Jesus Christ) can motivate us greatly and call us to work out, so we can connect with Him.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Allie’s tips can motivate you for the rest of your life. As homeschool parents, these practices can strengthen you and your homeschoolers. These aren’t just “now” habits…these habits will last a lifetime. They will create strong and healthy homeschoolers. Your homeschoolers will become tenacious and focused on bigger and better things!
