- Live an alternative lifestyle.
- Enjoy the flexibility of homeschooling.
Real Talk about Homeschooling
Firstly, if you’re still public schooling your child, read the writing on the wall. Cheryl and I discussed the trend of teachers leaving the school system. We also talked about literacy rates and our nation’s learning deficit. Clearly, these two major problems show issues within the school system. Also, Cheryl recommended several important resources for families to study when reviewing the public school system. Put in the time to research and learn more about the public school system’s roots. Listen to the Nxt Era podcast and Cheryl’s podcast to continue learning.
Next, live an alternative lifestyle. Embrace slow mornings, more sleep, and healthier traits. Homeschooling gives us more time to enjoy these habits. You can set aside busy schedules and chronic stress. In addition, homeschooling also allows parents to outsource as needed. You can also find social events, such as homeschool proms, co-ops, and clubs. As the parent, you can learn alongside your homeschooler, and you don’t have to be an expert teacher.
Lastly, enjoy the flexibility of homeschooling. Focus on your child’s interests. Cheryl and her children take a unit-studies approach, integrating all subjects around an area of interest. Homeschooling provides a tailored educational experience for our children! You can certainly embrace this method!
Conclusion
In conclusion, during our chat, Cheryl provided data and heart, which showed the importance of homeschooling. Her insights and research from her podcast revealed thought-provoking trends in the public school system. From her personal experience, she explained why homeschooling benefits the whole family!
